Richard Art Glassware
Richard Murer was born in Locarno on November 8, 1967. In 2003 he began to get passionate about the artistic working of glass thanks to the meeting with Camilla Quadri, Mastro Vetraia owner of the Atelier “Vitrearius Magister” in Claro. During his long collaborative “apprenticeship” in the atelier, Richard creates more than 300 glass fused objects, as well as preparatory drawings for leaded stained glass, glass sculptures and trophies. The collaboration with the Atelier Vitrearius Magister ends in 2013.
After 4 years of “hibernation”, in the summer of 2017 the return! New atelier in Claro, new promoter company (Richard Glassware Sagl), but the same great overflowing passion! Furthermore, Richard Murer expands his techniques, enriching them with external “contaminating” elements such as aluminum or steel.
The works are unique pieces, made strictly by hand with Float glass and pigments, with some exceptions in which a specific glass is used for glass fusing.
By “unique pieces” we mean that only one piece is made per design and size. The materials used for the realization of the works are of the highest quality and non-toxic.
Each work is signed by the artist and is accompanied by a guarantee of authenticity. “Richard” is a registered trademark.
